For more than 25 years – beginning with our role supporting scientists after the fall of the Soviet Union – CBRNE security has been at the core of our mission. We partner with international government agencies, industry, academia, and non-government organizations to develop solutions to mitigate the proliferation of CBRNE threats and the intentional and accidental misuse of these materials. Our projects strengthen international safety and security culture by enhancing risk management practices, improving in-country detection and response capabilities, securing facilities, and encouraging collaborative partnerships to reduce risk.

View the source websiteWhen food system stakeholders from around the world came together at the inaugural UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) four years ago, governments made bold and necessary commitments to ensure that food is grown, sold, consumed and disposed of in better ways for both people and planet.
Now, governments, civil society, youth and other stakeholders will reunite in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the UN Food Systems Summit +4 Stocktake. From July 27 to 29, 2025, they will assess the progress made by nations towards securing a healthy, sustainable and equitable food system for all.
Leading these efforts to track national food system commitments and hold governments accountable is Ghana.
As part of the Catalyzing Change for Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems (CCHeFS) initiative, co-funded by IDRC and The Rockefeller Foundation, experts at the University of Ghana are developing an innovative toolkit to measure this progress.

The members of our Scientific Advisory Committee all have different areas of expertise across a range of different cancer types, branches of biology, chemistry, medicine, and drug development.
These differences in perspective are crucial when it comes to deciding the best projects to support. Since we fund research involving lots of different scientific techniques and all cancer types, we need a broad and varied committee to help spot the ideas with the best chance of having real impact.
We are proud to have our Committee's expertise on board to help us evaluate and select the projects we fund with our Curestarters' generous donations.
